I love when I find something, anything, that inspires my photographic eye.  It’s like a drug.  You crave to be inspired and when you see something inspiring, the high starts.

Yesterday I walked into the grocer’s and found my inspiration.  These little flowers were like none I had ever seen.  Obviously a type of sunflower, but not your typical bright yellow sunflower.  These were very warm oranges and browns, such as autumn feels.  I came to find that they are indeed sunflowers.  But they tinted the sunflowers with an orange dye.  What the orange did to the petals was appealing, but even more appealing was what the dye did to the leaves.  It just screamed for a vintage processing.

Big game is right.

Monday night games are always the best because we are assured we will get to watch the game.  Regular season Sunday games are a crap shoot.  Most we do get to see, but not every one is televised here.  I am not one to just listen to a game.  I want to see all my boys running around in their tight pants.  Oh, and I can’t forget my favorite… Coach Tomlin.  Matt gets so jealous because I fawn over him every time they cut to him on the sidelines.  I do like watching the game too.

to the autumn days and decent weather.  This weekend will probably be the last nice weekend of the year.  It was gorgeous.  We took advantage of every second we could, right down to the last sunset.

One of my favorite Caley-isms, right now, is that every time we get to the stairs and he wants ME to carry HIM, he says, “Mama, Mama, I carry you.”

Makes me smile every time.

I love playing cards.  At least one of my offspring is cut from the same cloth.

Thankful that such wonderful things come in threes.

It was more exciting than any toy or movie I could have bought him.  He’s smart enough to know that now he can access almost any book; that anything he wants to learn more about is for the taking; that the world is his oyster.  AND it is all free!  No saving his allowance.

I remember when I got my first library card.  Only back then it was cardboard with a metal plate to carbon copy at each check out.  But the excitement was the same.
