Almost a month ago we visited the zoo for the last time of the year. It was a beautiful day, the last gorgeous fall day of 2008. We had a wonderful time. I just didn’t have the opportunity to blog it.
We got there bright and early and had to wait for the gates to open. Marley decided to put this belt around his head as a headband. Such a trend setter.
All the animals were out and enjoying that beautiful weather. Marley had the hippos at the top of his list to view.
This looks like Marley’s showing Brodie how far he can pee, but they really are just talking about the leaves on the ground.
I tried numerous times to get a shot of them on this gorilla. I am not TOTALLY pleased with this one, but its the best of my four attempts, one from each trip to the zoo this year.
And Cale, pre-haircut, had his first carousel ride on this trip.
Love these, Amy, especially the hippo shot. Don’t know what it is, but it draws you right in.

ah the zoo…. we have a zoo membership (I am guessing you do to) so we also go a few times a year…so fun to walk around! The captures are perfect memories of the zoo days and lol about the “peeing on the leaves”… because you are right, that’s exactly what it looks like!
I love the zoo! We have membership too but unfortunately, with everyone’s schedule, we’ve only been 1x with it. But, it’s ok, cause one time pays for the membership……..I’m hoping for a nice day to go sometime soon.

LOL at the trendsetter you got there. I love how he kept it on throughout the trip. I always said to myself (pre-kid) whenever I would see an oddly dressed child, “who would let their kid go out in public like that?!”…Now that I have a kid of my own, I know all too well the answer.
